The Institute for Geospatial Analysis and Mapping (GEOMAP) was founded at Illinois State University to support research activities through the application of state-of-the-art geospatial sciences and technologies, including GIS, digital cartography, GPS, and remote sensing. GEOMAP's vision is to become a leader in applied geospatial analysis and mapping among public universities in the state of Illinois.
In addition to research and project work, GEOMAP also offers hands-on training workshops for GIS software, including ArcGIS, the leading GIS software in the industry today.
